This thread should be used to discuss our essential work tool - the brush.
Let us know what brand/size you prefer, how you store your brush so as not to damage it, etc.

Here are some tips about your brushes…You have bought a new brush, what next?

Bristles of your new brush are trapped into resin to keep the shape. To remove it completely GENTLY rub the bristles with your fingers in order to separate them. Wash your brush in the special cleanser and wipe it dry on the paper towel. Then rinse your brush with clean monomer and form the original shape using paper towel. Your brush is ready to use now biggrin

Storage.

Always keep your brush in upright positions with the bristles at the bottom , it prevents traces of monomer/cleanser to dissolve the glue holding bristles together.

Never leave your Brush in cleanser for a long time, it dry the bristles of your brush.

Second life of your brush...
If your brush bristles become very dry and "nasty" don't rush to throw it away, try to "resuscitate" it. To do so you will need your brush cleaner container, and olive/ almond/ avocado etc oil. Warm (not boil!!!)the little amount of oil in your container in microwave and place your brush into container(the level of oil in the container must be just enough to cover the bristles!), leave it to "rest" for 20-30 minutes. Take your brush out and wash with warm water and liquid soap to rid of the oil. Wipe your brush on paper towel. Rinse it with monomer the same way you would do preparing your brush to work. Using paper towel form your bristles to original shape. Your brush is as new now- happy day!!!! biggrin
